Custom Jewelry - Made To Order

Making custom jewelry is always a rewarding part of my job as a jewelry designer.  I love to be able to take ideas from someone, then make those ideas come together into a totally individualized piece of jewelry.  Today I thought I might share some recent custom jewelry designs I have made.  Each item was designed after getting detailed information from the customer on what style she wanted as well as the specific use for the item.

The first several pictures below are of a custom made collection for a wonderful customer in Italy.  She was looking initially for an eyeglass chain/necklace with a large enough loop to hold her extra wide glasses.  Eventually, she had me make two eyeglass necklaces, a matching bracelet and pair of earrings.

Francesca's Eyeglass Chain - Antique Silver
These first two pictures show the first eyeglass necklace made using antique silver chain, cloisonne beads, fire-polished glass beads, Swarovski crystals, sterling silver beads, antique silver hearts, and antique gold and silver spacer beads.  The focal bead above the loop is a beautiful cloisonne heart.  The loop itself is an antique silver round heart edged loop with a one inch opening wide enough to accommodate her extra wide glasses.

The next two pictures are of the second eyeglass chain.  This one was made with gunmetal chain and a beautiful combination of cloisonne, glass, crystal and metal beads in gold and silver. The focal bead above the loop is a large oval cloisonne bead.  The customer requested a unique type loop for holding the eyeglasses - something other than round.  I found this ornate antique silver heart that was perfect.

The charm bracelet in the next two photos was made to coordinate with the second eyeglass chain.  I used medium sized oval link gunmetal chain and beaded it using a combination of beads coordinating with the gunmetal eyeglass chain.  Finished with a pretty gunmetal toggle clasp.

The earrings pictured below can actually be worn with either eyeglass chain.  Beaded with antique silver scroll hearts and fluted round beads, Swarovski crystals and crystal pearls, and bead caps in antique silver and gold.  Gunmetal earring wires.  Drop is two inches.

The next two pictures show a pair of earrings I custom made for a customer looking for a bold jewelry design.  She had seen an Etsy listing of a similar pair of earrings but wanted stones that were larger but with the same spectacular emerald green color.  I actually found these brilliant crystals at a site selling chandelier parts.  They were perfect!  These faceted pear shaped crystals are an impressive 28mm and are dazzling!  Beaded simply onto gunmetal earring wires.

These last two photos show a pair of earrings I just finished for a co-worker.  She was looking for a pair of earrings to match a necklace and pink jacket she had recently bought.  For these earrings I used brilliant faceted pink pear shaped crystals (18mm size) and a combination of fire-polished glass beads and small Swarovski crystals.  Accented with antique gold bead caps and suspended on 14K gold-filled earring wires.

Each of these designs were created with meticulous attention to detail and beaded with the customer's specific needs and requests.
