New Eyeglass Chains

Over the years my eyeglass chains have become some of my more popular designs.  Making new eyeglass chains is one of my most absolute favorite type of designs to work on!  Why?  Because they can not only be a beautiful piece of jewelry, but they fulfill a purpose and function.

After all, who of us has not had trouble keeping up with our reading glasses or sunglasses.  That is exactly why I started making these designs a few years ago - because I needed an easy way to keep up with my sunglasses while attending my son's baseball games.  He's grown now and I not only need my sunglasses, but I also require reading glasses!  So I still use these pretty designs for myself as well as for others.

My Chain of Hearts Eyeglass Necklace design has been one of my long time most popular. The original had antique silver chain beaded with antique gold and silver hearts:

You might notice that I offer my eyeglass necklaces in both my signature loop style as well as leash styles.

In case you are interested in making your own eyeglass necklace, I wrote a tutorial on how I created my first one a while back - you can read about it here!

And here's a link to an article in The Beading Gem's Journal with links to not only my tutorial but several others along with some helpful info on different types and styles of eyeglass chains

Of course all of the designs pictured above and others can be found in the Eyeglass Necklace section of my Etsy shop.  Hope you will stop by and visit soon!

And if you have any ideas or suggestions on future styles and designs, let me know - I welcome ideas for new material!
