Something Blue Wedding Jewelry

With spring at hand, it's time to think about weddings.  I designed these two items with "Something Blue" as the theme.

Ever wonder what the significance is of using "something blue" in a wedding?  We are all familiar with the old saying:  "Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue."  This saying originated in the Victorian era and eventually brides everywhere began using the superstition in their weddings to bring good luck.  The tradition of using something blue is rooted in the belief that blue represents fidelity, purity and love.

The Something Blue Swarovski Crystal Pearl Necklace features a large lampwork focal bead in a beautiful color called "crystal silver."  Two blue lampwork silver foil beads are situated quietly at each end.  Necklace beaded with Swarovski crystal pearls in "cream rose" along with delicate glass pearl seed beads.  Accented with clear Swarovski crystals near center and at each end.  Finished with a sterling silver spring ring clasp and heart closure.  Measures 17 inches plus 3 inch sterling silver extender chain for a total of 20 inches.

These Something Blue Swarovski Crystal Earrings are beaded with clear Swarovski crystal teardrops and same pretty blue lampwork silver foil beads as in the necklace.  Sterling silver fish hook style earring wires.  Drop is 1 1/2 inches.
